Deborah Thompson's signature island landscapes call to mind a timeless Hawaii with a vintage flair. She works primarily in oils and acrylics but also creates three dimensional sculptural plaster murals, faux finishes, Lusterstone, Venetian Plaster, and custom-painted furniture.

Deborah captures the beauty of Hawaii with a special focus on detailed tropical botanicals. Having a distinct and recognizable style, Thompson's work is in private and public collections throughout the United States, Asia, and Europe.

Born in NYC and having earned her BFA from CW Post-Long Island University in 1989, Deborah now makes her home with her husband and two daughters in Hawi, Hawaii, a small rural artists' community in the middle of ranch country. She spearheaded a summer Fine Arts Academy for children where she teaches painting, sculpture, and ceramics. She is active in her local community and takes pride in promoting Hawaii's natural treasures and landscape in her artwork.
